Team Assisted individually is collaboration between cooperative learning and individual learning. Constructing the groups of study is to help students to comprehend the instructional materials. In this case, the teachers are only the facilitators.rnTherefore, the writer proposes the title to know several matters. Those are: implementedof cooperative learning method type TAI in Arabic subject at Class XI MAN Surabaya,the extent of Eleventh Graders’ Arabic reading skill, andeffectiveness of usingCooperative Learning method type TAI to improve the Eleventh Graders’ Arabic reading skill at MAN SurabayarnTo identify those matters deeply and thoroughly, this research uses quantitative method. Furthermore, the writer uses observation, documentation, and tests which are pre-test and post-test, to obtain all data needed.rnThe result of this research shows that: the implementation of cooperative learning method type TAI in Arabic subject at Class XI MAN Surabaya is quite good because the teacher uses various methods in teaching and learning so that the students feel happy and excited to have Arabic lesson. Meanwhile, the Arabic reading ability of the Eleventh graders at MAN Surabaya is still considered as low. It is because most of the students can only read loudly and silently without being able to comprehend the content. Then, the implementation of cooperative learn ing method type TAI is effective to improve their Arabic reading skill. It can be seen from the distinction between the scores at pre-test and post-test. The average of the score at pre-test is 73,45, while at post-test is 87,14. It can also be seen from the result of the data analysis using “T-Test” which indicates that there is significant distinction between before and after implementing the method. rnrnrnTeam assisted individually merupakan gabungan dari pembelajaran koperatif dan pembelajaran individu.pembentukan kelompok pelajar untuk membantu siswa dalam memahami materi pelajaran.dan guru dalam metode ini hanya sebagai fasilitator.rntuhuan penulisan skripsi dengan judul iniyaitu:untuk mengetahui penerapanmetodecooperative learning tipe tai dalampembelajaranbahasa arab siswakelas xi man surabaya,mengetahuikemampuanmembacabahasa arab siswakelas xi man surabaya, dan untuk mengetahuipenerapanmetodecooperative learning tipe tai efektifuntukmeningkatkankemampuanmembacabahasa arab siswakelas xi man surabayarnuntukmengidentifikasipermasalahantersebutsecaramendalamdanmenyeluruh, penelitianinimenggunakanmetodekuantitatif.selanjutnyauntukmemperoleh data yang diinginkanpenulismenggunakanmetodeobservasi, dokumentasidantesujicobayaitu pretest-postest.rnhasilpenelitianiniadalahpenulismenemukanbahwa:penerapanmetodecooperative learning tipe tai dalampembelajaranbahasa arab siswakelas xi man surabaya tergolongbaikkarena guru menggunakanmetode yang variatifdalambelajarmengajar, sehinggasiswamerasasenangdantidakbosandalampelajaranbahasa arab. sedangkan kemampuanmembacabahasa arab siswakelas xi man surabaya masihtergolongrendah. hal inidisebabkanolehkebanyakansiswahanyabisamembacasecaranyaringdandalamhatitanpabisamemahamiisidaribacaantersebut. dan penerapanmetodecooperative learning tipe tai tergolongefektifuntukmeningkatkanketrampilanmembacasiswakelas xi man surabaya. hal tersebutbisadilihatdariperbedaannilai rata-rata pada pretest dan posttest, yaitu rata-rata pada pretest 73,45dan rata-rata pada posttest mencapai 87,14. dan jugabisadilihatdarihasilanalisis data menggunakan “test-t” yang menunjukkanadanyaperbedaan yang signifikanantarasebelumdansesudahpenerapan.rnrn
